When going to Cape Town for a holiday with my parents, I was very nervous but it all turned out beautifully. And these are the poems I wrote while I was there.
Same place, different view
Seeing ways, with eyes anew
Same soft sea, but lighter blue
God's glitter sparkles through
High mountains, rocks abide
But no danger, of tumbling sides
Soft waves splashing
Gentle breeze
Kisses, not lashings
that cripples knees
Suns rays
Throughout the days
Grey gloom
Has gone away
Left you all,
when I did fall
Rose above
When rescued by doves
Oh happy smiles are all around
I ran miles, while you might drown
Beautiful sunshine bay
You taught me how to pray
To me you've shown
How tall I've grown
You smile, as you cradle my life
This is it my child,
without the strife
Courage you need
To do dreaded deed
But once done,
It's you who's freed
Thank you Lord for beautiful prayer
Carried softly by wings bearer
Butterfly flutter
Sparkle twinkle
My life for the better
God's grace,
On me sprinkled
